Sorry It Has Been A While.

Hi everyone. Sorry it has been a while since my last blog update!! It has been so hectic here and I have so much to tell you. So sit back, relax and here we go.

Back in August, Liam went into Primary 4 and Sophie started Primary 1. Yes both my little monsters are now in school. It was a very emotional day but I didn't need to worry as Sophie loved her first day at school and Liam loves his new teacher too! Nearly 2 months later and all is still well and both enjoying school.

Back to studying for me!! My books for the first health and social care module arrived. I am really looking forward to getting back into studying and relieved that I made the decision to change from Psychology to Health and Social care as in years 2 and 3 I can study mental health related modules, which as you know is what I want to do.

I am really excited to tell you about this next development. You may remember last year I petitioned the Scottish Parliament asking for better access to psychological therapies across Scotland? The petition has been used in inquiries and target reviews and is still lodged. I am waiting to hear more soon.  Off the back of the petition and 18 months of research, meetings and hard work, throw in a few tantrums and Peace of Mind drop in group officially started!!

The group is for those living with mental health conditions, their families and carers and is also for those who feel lonely and isolated.  It is open to the people of Cumbernauld and surrounding areas.

So far 3 sessions have been held and a good turn out for each.  It is held fortnightly at the moment and I am looking forward to seeing it grow.

As you can see it has been a busy time for us but I promise I won't leave it so long next time!
