Black Garlic Pesto

This is the second product that I received from the Garlic Farm.  I have never tried black garlic before and was quite happy to give this a try.

My husband suggested that I try the pesto before using it in a meal.

There is a mix of pesto, basil pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and black garlic.  The pesto is quite thick in texture.

You get a strong taste of the Parmesan coming through the pesto which I loved, however, I did find the black garlic to be quite strong.

I can't handle strong flavours but I do recommend this if you love intense flavours.

You can use the black garlic pesto in Risotto, pasta or with fish.
