Anxiety's Eviction Notice 2015

In 2006 when I was first diagnosed with anxiety, I lost a lot of "friends" who had decided that I wasn't the same person anymore.  I would honestly love to know how they came to that conclusion.

The Edinburgh Tea & Coffee Company

I love tea and I have tried all sorts of different flavours from normal to decaf to cranberry. My husband is more of a coffee fan and, like me, has tried all different types.  We are always on the lookout for unique blends and flavours.

The Fairytale Hairdresser

My little girl loves everything glittery, girly and princess related. So as you can imagine the stories I read to her tend to fit into the above criteria.  My son likes the princess stories too because they are his little sister's favourite. He is so cute.

Blogger Spotlight - Milkshake Recipe

Now that the lovely sun has decided to hang around for a while and it is nice and warm outside, I know how much I love a nice, cool refreshing drink to cool me down.  I do drink a lot of water during the summer months but I do like to have something a little different and, well, yummy.

Sneezes Be Gone!

With the gorgeous warm weather comes a a rather annoying condition, hay fever!  As soon as the grass was cut the itchy eyes, painful sinuses, and runny nose appeared. Maybe this is why I am more of a Winter person!

What Next?

Every few days I search the Internet for mental health in the news so I can keep up to date with the latest developments.  I often find myself angry and upset at some of the stories of those who need help and have been denied access to the services they need.  Every time I read a story like that I would think to myself, I wish I could help change the future of mental health services.

Perfect For A Busy Household

With 2 children, and also a puppy, our house can get a little hectic at times.  When it comes to the flooring, I feel sorry for my carpets! Crumbs, spillages and the odd stuck on piece of play-doh (argh) I was starting to worry my carpets were not clean enough with just a good old hoover.  Having tried another steam cleaner, which didn't seem to work well, I knew I had to give a better brand a try.

Monsters Love Underpants.

I am always looking for new and funny books to read to my children and ones that my son will want to read himself too (he is in primary one).  Big, bright, colourful covers always catch my attention as they look fun.

Mental Health Wristbands

Earlier today I read a story that really angered me. A Tory PPC (parliamentary candidate for Cambridge) has suggested that those living with mental health conditions should be given wristbands indicating which condition they have.

Chemist Direct

As you may already know, we are off on holiday in June so me being me decided to look into getting the toiletries we would need for our time away and start getting it in and putting it away.  One of the biggest things on my list was a decent factor 50 sun block for the kids.  The lotion I was after was £16.99 in the shops and I refuse to pay that price.  Then I found Chemist Direct and I couldn't believe my eyes

Misportrayal Of Schizophrenia in Films

Schizophrenia is a long term mental health condition and is widely misunderstood. There is approximately 220,000 people living with Schizophrenia in the UK.  Many people think that those with Schizophrenia are, and I quote some people, "nuts" or "dangerous" this is most certainly not the case and they do not have split personalities either!

In just a few months the schools break up for the summer break, yay, and no doubt many of you will be jetting off to somewhere nice and warm.  How many of you will be driving when abroad? How will you keep the children entertained? If you haven't made that decision yet, Rental Car's carried out a survey of those who drive abroad and the results are below.

Primark - Oh How I Love You

With summer just round the corner, I decided to have a good look through the kid's wardrobes and see what they had and what they needed.  I am a big fan of Primark, especially for Summer clothes!

Start Your Own Online Business

Many of my friends have looked into starting their own online business. Everything from selling jewellery they have made to sweet treats and everything in between.  Some of them didn't last long as they were worried it was stopping them from being the mum they wanted to be too.  There is a lot to consider when starting your own business and this is where the "Your Other Baby" coaching programme comes in. The owner, Saskia, answered some of my question.

Bringing the Summer into your Home

I love summer time.  Sun rises early in the morning and sets late at night.  If you were to visit our house you would see all the curtains tied back and the windows open so we can make the most of the beautiful sunshine.  It is amazing how the sun can lift your mood and make things so much better.
