Driving Abroad
In just a few months the schools break up for the summer break, yay, and no doubt many of you will be jetting off to somewhere nice and warm. How many of you will be driving when abroad? How will you keep the children entertained? If you haven't made that decision yet, Rental Car's carried out a survey of those who drive abroad and the results are below.
What do you think of the results? Do you agree with them?

I personally have never driven abroad but my Mum used to all the time when we were kids. She would pack up our mini bus 7 six kids and make her way across France. It didn't phase her one bit. I think I'd be a bit more nervous though x
ReplyDeleteWow that would be amazing! If I could drive I would give it a try, it would be a tad nervewracking but worth it x
DeleteI have driven abroad (in the USA) several times, and contributed to this survey. My top tip is to drive with confidence, and to research the rules of the road in the country you are driving in. x
ReplyDeleteVery good advice! That must have been an incredible experience for you! x
Deleteooh I'm wary to drive abroad!
ReplyDeleteIt can be quite daunting I imagine x
DeleteI thought everyone thought they were a better driver than their spouse? Is that not in the wedding vows?!
ReplyDeletehahaha well that is true ;) x
Deletelol at Lucy above! And yes, broadly in agreement with much of those results!
ReplyDeletelol Lucy's comment made me giggle
DeleteUntil the other year I'd only ever driven in this country and Ireland. Then I tried driving in France and was surprised how easy it was (for the most part). I'm not sure I'd want to drive in Southern Europe though or in big cities abroad.
ReplyDeleteI think big cities, in the UK or elsewhere, are always quite daunting to drive in. I would love to see France properly x
DeleteI've never driven abroad I'm actually quite scared of the idea I have to admit. x
ReplyDeleteI think it's the same for a lot of people, there is something about driving on the wrong side of the road lol x
DeleteI'm not sure I'd be confident enough to drive on the other side of the road
ReplyDeleteThe first time I went abroad it confused me lol. I remember sitting on the coach to the holiday park feeling weird as I was sure the driver was on the wrong side haha x
DeleteI have to say my OH does all of the driving. We've just got back from driving around Holland for 10 days and I would have been so scared to do it!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow what a fantastic way to see Holland :) I do think driving in another country is a scary prospect for a lot of people xx
DeleteI can't drive but I'm often I bit scared when I'm in cars in other countries as some of them seem to have completely different rules to the UK! x
ReplyDeleteI agree some of the rules are a bit strange. I was in Spain and the bus driver stopped ON the roundabout to let people on! x
DeleteWe've never driven abroad. The driving on the right is so confusing!
ReplyDeleteit is very confusing! Crossing the road abroad is scary too lol x
