The Black Mass Brides

Have you ever turned down a date with a guy, only to have him torment you in your dreams?

Nothing good ever came of meeting an overly interested, handsome stranger in the woods. Ollie suspects there's more wrong with Zach than his unfortunate choice in first date locations. Ignore the perfect hair, flawless complexion and James Dean smile, and you're left with dead eyes and a bin bag full of body parts.

Plagued by horrible nightmares, strange occurrences and feelings of being watched, Ollie begins to wonder what Zach really is and whether he's working alone. Did she really did escape him that day in the woods, or is this the start of something far worse...
As you know I love reading.  When I was younger I would stick to one genre, chic lit, but as I got older I started to read different books, like paranormal romance, and this is where my latest read fits in.

The Black Mass Brides by E.J Cownley, available now on Amazon, caught my eye as it was different to anything I had read before and the title intrigued me.

To get me interested in a book the first paragraph has to capture my imagination or I find it hard to continue.  I was hooked by the first sentence.- Let me start by saying that my only real crime in this whole piece is the crime of poor fashion and even worse taste in men.

Taken on a journey between real life and fantasy, you're soon swept away and find you can't figure out what is real yourself, this is a good thing as it proves the story is very well written.  E. J. Cownley really brought the characters to life, which is not an easy thing to do.  I could relate to some of the characters as they sound just like the kind of people I would be friends with, so with that, for me, the characters were very likeable and just like me.

When I was reading the book I found it easy to picture the scenes that were set and my imagination ran wild.  This is the most important factor for me as it gives you an escape from reality into the world of the characters and you feel like you are part of the story.

Do I recommend this book? Yes, it is a must read for anyone who wants to escape to a whole new world.

I don't want to give too much away and spoil the book for you so why don't you head over to Amazon and you can purchase your copy, for Kindle, here
