Oak Keepsake Box

As you know from my previous post, I like gifts that are unique and that I can put a personal touch too.  I have always wanted a proper little keepsake box to keep those special little items in.  I have finally got one.

Father's Day Gift Idea's

With Father's day just over 3 weeks away ( 21st June), it was time to get my thinking cap on and decide what the children could get James.  I wanted the gifts to be something special that he could look at and be reminded of some of the wonderful memories we have made over the last few years.

The Scottish Government's Plans

As you may remember I wrote to the UK government asking what their plans were with regards to funding mental health services and what changes they planned on making.  Today I had a reply from the Scottish government stating their plans for Scotland's mental health strategy which is due to be changed this year.

SAMH What Next Findings

SAMH have kindly sent me their findings from their What Next events and I am not surprised by the areas that need to be greatly improved, and quickly.

My Recent Amazing Read.

When Eric and Madeleine Little thought they could look forward to a new life with their first child, tragic circumstances prevented them from doing so.

You may remember from a previous post, I mentioned a book I was about to start called Dream Demon by B.J Davie.  Well I started reading it on Friday and I could not put it down.

Scars - Rebuild Your Self Esteem.

I have a scar from having my 2 children by C Section.  I am not bothered by having a scar as it reminds me of the most precious time in my life but for some scars cause low self esteem and confidence issues.

We All Need An Escape

When things get a little too much, like anyone else, I look for a distraction, an escape, from what is bothering me.  As much as we all end up facing the issue head on, sometimes a little time out helps clear our head and helps us to relax.

The Government's Plans

When the Conservatives won the election, I decided to email them to ask if they planned to put more money in to fund mental health services across the UK.  When I sent the email, I did not expect a reply so when one arrived earlier today I was rather surprised and thought it was only right to share their plans and can only hope they follow through on their plans.

Place2Be

As a mother of two, I like to know there are services out there to support my children if they are going through a rough time.  Yes I will be there for them, of course I will, but I can only help them to a certain point.  Sadly 1 in 10 children aged between 5-16 suffer from a mental health condition, that is 1 in 3 from every classroom so it is important for the help to be there.

Skin SOS

I have very sensitive skin on my face and find that I can't use many face creams or masks. The only ones that I can use are usually very highly priced, but I have recently found two masks that I can use and they don't cost a small fortune.
