Housework Made Easier

Housework, the word that strikes fear in our hearts and has us hiding. Well, it used to be like that for me until I found some cleaning products that made my cleaning routine quicker and easier.

Here are my top products for cleaning and how I use them

Playlist

Turn your housework time into your own personal nightclub. Playing your favourite songs will make doing household chores much more fun and it will put a smile on your face too. There may be some dancing involved because that beat is hard to resist.

Fresh and long lasting

I may have a slight obsession with this one and I have a few bottles with different scents but it is so lovely to use around the house and the scent lasts for ages. What am I talking about? Zoflora of course!

I use this for as much as possible.  Cleaning the floor, in a spray bottle mixed with water to wash down the radiators, down the plug holes, disinfecting the kitchen sink and soaking the cleaning sponges and clothes overnight. This little beauty is a must have addition to my cleaning routine. My favourite way to use it is to put a capful into the (empty) washing machine to run on a cleaning cycle  I do this once a week and it gets rid of any bacteria in the washing machine.

 Toilet Cleaning 

I know a lot of people don't like when it comes to cleaning the toilet but I have 2 products that will make it so much easier and will leave your toilet sparkling.

The first product is Asda Just Essential Pine toilet cleaner. It is cheap, cheerful and gets the job done.  I use this every morning and night and it works really well.  I love the fresh smell.  It is really affordable too!

This little beauty is amazing in all parts of your bathroom. When I use this for the toilet, I use it once a week as it gives a really deep clean.  It is also used on the sink, bath and taps. It is so easy to use and the Arctic Fresh scent is lovely and not overpowering. Power foam is a game changer when it comes to cleaning the bathroom.

Doors

I give the doors a good clean twice a month. The best product for this is sugar soap*.  The ones I use, when I can get a hold of it, is the ready made sugar soap in a spray bottle.  A little goes a really long way and is great for cleaning the internal doors. 

Floors

As mentioned before, I use Zoflora when it comes to cleaning the floors but before I do that, I give them a good brush first and let me tell you, this brush is an absolute game changer.

The Beldray 2 in 1 broom is amazing. We have a dog and I thought our vacuum was picking it all up but that wasn't the case. This brush picks up so much trapped dog hair and other dust or fluff that the vacuum missed. It can be used on all floor types and makes such a difference to the floors. I wish I had discovered it sooner!
