FitBit Charge

As you know, I have been losing some weight, 32lb so far, and I have slowly been getting out and about more.  I have always wondered how many steps I take when out and about and how many calories those steps burn off.

This is where the FitBit Charge comes in.  I was over the moon to receive this little beauty as I had seen it advertised and had put it on my wishlist!  Like a child at Christmas, I took it straight out the box and set it up.

Set up was very easy.  I downloaded the app (available on Android, Windows, and Apple Store) and I also downloaded the software onto my laptop so I can use the wireless dongle that came with the Charge.  To charge the battery, all I had to do was connect the Charge to the laptop via USB cable (supplied).  You can also connect the device to your phone via Bluetooth which means when you receive a call the name comes up on the Charge.  Sadly my phone was not compatible with the Bluetooth option but this was not an issue for me.

It has some great functions.  There is a clock, you can track how many steps you take, the distance you have walked in miles, the floors you have walked up, the calories you have burned off and there is also a stopwatch too.

You can also track your sleep to ensure you are getting enough sleep at night.  Simply use the app, click the little button to say you are going to sleep and when you wake up click the button on the app again to say you are awake and it will tell you how many hours (and minutes) you have slept for.  I really love this option as I never know if I am getting enough sleep.

Using the dashboard on my laptop (can also be done via app) you can how any calories you have eaten, set goals, track bmi and weight.  This can be done by using the online diary.  You can also link it up to your MyFitnessPal account.

I can't recommend this product enough.  The battery lasts 7-10 days, it does everything I need it to do and seeing the steps I have taken each day really encourages me to get out and take more.  It is also nice seeing the calories come off too.

If you would like to purchase the FitBit Charge you can get it here for £99.99
