Driving Abroad

In just a few months the schools break up for the summer break, yay, and no doubt many of you will be jetting off to somewhere nice and warm.  How many of you will be driving when abroad? How will you keep the children entertained? If you haven't made that decision yet, Rental Car's carried out a survey of those who drive abroad and the results are below.

What do you think of the results? Do you agree with them?

  1. I personally have never driven abroad but my Mum used to all the time when we were kids. She would pack up our mini bus 7 six kids and make her way across France. It didn't phase her one bit. I think I'd be a bit more nervous though x

    1. Wow that would be amazing! If I could drive I would give it a try, it would be a tad nervewracking but worth it x

  2. I have driven abroad (in the USA) several times, and contributed to this survey. My top tip is to drive with confidence, and to research the rules of the road in the country you are driving in. x

  4. I thought everyone thought they were a better driver than their spouse? Is that not in the wedding vows?!

  6. Until the other year I'd only ever driven in this country and Ireland. Then I tried driving in France and was surprised how easy it was (for the most part). I'm not sure I'd want to drive in Southern Europe though or in big cities abroad.

    1. I think big cities, in the UK or elsewhere, are always quite daunting to drive in. I would love to see France properly x

    1. The first time I went abroad it confused me lol. I remember sitting on the coach to the holiday park feeling weird as I was sure the driver was on the wrong side haha x

    1. I agree some of the rules are a bit strange. I was in Spain and the bus driver stopped ON the roundabout to let people on! x
